Part-time employment Application 

Qualification requirements

  • 1A D-2 Visa student who meets all of the following criteria
  • 2 Minimum grade: The average grade for the previous semester as of the application date must be grade C (2.0) or higher
  • 3 Korean proficiency standards 
    • Bachelor's degree 1st, 2nd graders: Certificate holder of Topic Level 3 or higher
    • Bachelor's degree 3rd, 4th graders, Master's and Doctor's degree: Certificate holder of Topic Level 4 or higher

※ As for English track students, for a valid certificate of TOEFL 530 (CBT 197, IBT 71), IELTS5.5, CEFRB2, or TEPS 600 or higher (as of the application date), the permitted labor time will correspond to the Korean language proficiency standard. (International students from countries where English is their native or official language are exempted from submitting English certificates.)

Permitted time of Part time job

  • 1Language training course students(regardless of school year): maximum 20 hours if holder of TOPIK level 2 / maximum 10 hours if not
  • 2Professional bachelor’s degree(regardless of school year): maximum 20 hours if holder of TOPIK level 3 (*no limit on weekends and vacations) / maximum 10 hours (including weekdays and weekends) if not
  • 3Bachelor's degree(1st~2nd graders): maximum 20 hours for TOPIK level 3 (*no limit on weekends and vacations) / 10 hours (including weekdays and weekends) if not
  • 4Bachelor's degree(3rd~4th graders): maximum 20 hours for TOPIK level 4 (*no limit on weekends and vacations) / 10 hours (including weekdays and weekends) if not
  • 5Master's/Doctor’s degree(regardless of school year): maximum 30 hours for TOPIK level 4 (*no limit on weekends and vacations) / 15 hours (including weekdays and weekends) if not

Necessary documents

  • Passport, alien registration card, completed application form
  • Certificate of Part-time Employment for International Students (유학생 시간제취업 확인서)
  • Academic transcript
  • TOPIK transcript
  • Copy of business registration certificate
  • Standard labor contract
